Banja Luka, 22 May 2012 - BiH is not immune to terrorist acts, but there was no adequate response of institutions that are supposed to deal with this issue and consequences, said the Minister of Interior of Republika Srpska, Stanislav Čađo, after opening a two-day seminar ’’Fight against Terrorism - EU standards, international cooperation and experience of EU member countries’’, in Banja Luka.
Čađo emphasized the importance of integration of all entities of community in the fight against terrorism, saying that the aim of this seminar is to consider the measures in the fight against terrorism, strengthening of international cooperation in the field and the exchange of experiences with EU member countries.
According to Čađo, it is necessary to talk about the way of projecting the steps to create this kind of public opinion that will be on the side of institutional support that deal with the fight against terrorism.
The expert in the fight against terrorism of the Ministry of Justice of Sweden, Nils Hanniger, said that there is no country that is not endangered by terrorism. ’’Great countries such as Spain, USA and Great Britain testify to great terrorist threats. Terrorism is a global issue and it is well known that Sweden and Norway recently faced terrorist attack, so we cannot say to what extent BiH is endangered by terrorism,’’ said Hanniger.
A two-day seminar is organized by MoI RS with the support of TAIEX.
