EUPM hosts six EU journalists
The EU Police Mission has organised a visit to EUPM and Bosnia and Herzegovina for six Brussels-based correspondents representing leading European Union media. During the visit, which is taking place May 4-9, the journalists will be introduced to the approach, impact, and achievements of EU organisations in the country, as well as the work of local agencies and institutions.
One of the highlights of the visit is the recent adoption of the laws on police reform leading to the expected signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, and the challenges that await both local and international community in BiH as the country moves closer to the EU.

EU MEMBERS STATES ARE READY TO SIGN SAA
Luxemburg, 29 April 2008 –The Foreign Ministers of the 27 EU Member States welcomed the conclusion of the first phase of the police reform by the recent adoption of the two police laws in Bosnia and Herzegovina and expressed their readiness to sign the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA).
The only remaining obstacle to the immediate signing of the SAA is of a technical nature: to be legally binding, the text of the agreement has to be translated into all the 23 official languages of the European Union.

EAST SARAJEVO PSC INSTALLS 20 SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS
Sarajevo, 25 April 2008 - Twenty CCTV cameras were installed yesterday in the area of responsibility of the Public Security Centre (PSC) of East Sarajevo.
The Deputy Chief of the PSC, Zoran Renovica, explained that the cameras were installed in the vicinity of police stations and at critical locations.
